Operating income maintained growth, and the decline in corporate profits narrowed. In June, the operating income of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 1.0% year-on-year, the growth rate was the same as that in May. The continuous growth of industrial enterprises’ revenue created favorable conditions for the recovery of corporate profits. In June, the operating income of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 7.0% year-on-year, 0.3 percentage points faster than that in May; profits turned from a 2.9% decline in May to a 9.6% growth, driving the profit growth of all industrial enterprises above designated size by 3.8 percentage points, playing a prominent supporting role in the profits of industrial enterprises above designated size. From the perspective of industries, among the 8 industries in the equipment manufacturing industry, 4 industries achieved profit growth. Among them, driven by factors such as the rapid growth of sales volume driven by car companies’ promotions and the growth of investment income of key enterprises, the profit of the automobile industry increased by 96.8%; the profits of electrical machinery, instrumentation, metal products and other industries increased by 18.7%, 12.3% and 6.2% respectively.
The high-end, intelligent and green development of the manufacturing industry has been further promoted. In June, the profits of industries related to the high-end, intelligent and green development of the manufacturing industry grew rapidly, providing stable support for the high-quality development of industry. Among them, in the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, the profits of electronic special material manufacturing, aircraft manufacturing, marine engineering equipment manufacturing and other industries increased by 68.1%, 19.0% and 17.8% respectively year-on-year; the accelerated production of intelligent and automated products drove the profit growth of related industries, and the profits of intelligent consumer equipment manufacturing, drawing, computing and measuring instrument manufacturing and other industries increased by 40.9% and 12.5% respectively; the accelerated formation of green production and green lifestyle promoted the profit growth of related industries, and the profits of lithium-ion battery manufacturing, biomass power generation, environmental monitoring special instruments and meters manufacturing and other industries increased by 72.8%, 24.5% and 22.2% respectively.
The driving effect of the “two new” policies continued to show. Since the beginning of this year, the scope of categories supported and subsidies by the “two new” policies has been continuously expanded, driving the profit improvement of related industries significantly. Driven by policies related to large-scale equipment renewal, in June, the profits of medical instrument and equipment manufacturing, special equipment manufacturing for printing, pharmaceutical, daily chemical and daily necessities production, general parts manufacturing and other industries grew rapidly, with year-on-year increases of 12.1%, 10.5% and 9.5% respectively. The policies of replacing old consumer goods such as electronics, home appliances, kitchen and bathroom products with new ones continued to take effect. In June, the profits of intelligent unmanned aircraft manufacturing, computer 整机 manufacturing, household air conditioner manufacturing, household ventilation electrical appliances manufacturing and other industries increased by 160.0%, 97.2%, 21.0% and 9.7% respectively; the profits of optoelectronic device manufacturing, computer parts manufacturing and other industries related to the industrial chain increased by 29.6% and 16.9% respectively.
