At the conference, Qiu Fuming, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Liuzhou Vocational & Technical University, and Peng Tao, Deputy General Manager of Omron Automation and Head of the Automation Center, delivered speeches respectively. They shared insights and prospects on deepening industry-education integration, the digital and intelligent transformation of vocational education, trusted university-enterprise cooperation, and the collaborative cultivation of new-type talents.

 

Implementation of University-Enterprise Collaboration Achievements: Innovative Practices Leading the Future

 

The conference focused on showcasing a number of university-enterprise collaboration achievements. The “Intelligent Operation and Maintenance Research Center”—an innovative practical training platform co-built by Omron and Liuzhou Vocational & Technical University—was officially unveiled. This center has introduced a variety of Omron’s core industrial automation equipment, among which the Sheet automatic loading robot serves as a typical practical training device. It can simulate the automated loading scenario of sheet materials in industrial production: by integrating visual positioning and precision motion control technology, the robot can automatically identify the size and placement angle of sheets of different specifications, achieving precise grasping and loading with an error of ≤0.1mm. At the same time, it supports linkage with the production line’s MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to provide real-time feedback on loading progress and equipment status. In teaching scenarios, students can conduct practical operations such as programming, debugging, and fault diagnosis using this equipment, intuitively mastering the application logic of industrial robots in flexible manufacturing, which lays a practical foundation for quickly adapting to job requirements when entering enterprises in the future.

In addition, the book Application Technology of Omron Machine Automation Controller (MAC), co-authored by technical experts from Omron Automation and Professor Xu Shixu from Qingdao University, was also officially released. These achievements integrate the advantages of both parties in automation technology and teaching practice, providing systematic practical resources for the cultivation of automation talents.
