Strategic Agreement Signing: Core Vision and Leadership Witness
On October 22, it was learned from BYD’s official Weibo account that the company has formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Honor. According to the official statement, “Relying on Honor’s connected car solutions and BYD DiLink’s new-generation smart ecosystem, the two parties will conduct in-depth collaboration around technology co-development, industrial complementarity, and ecosystem co-construction. This will seamlessly integrate full-scenario smart experiences into every journey, create high-end and intelligent travel experiences for users, and jointly build a new paradigm of smart life.”
Witnessed by Li Jian, CEO of Honor Device Co., Ltd., and Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Group, Fang Fei, President of the Product Line of Honor Device Co., Ltd., and Yang Dongsheng, Senior Vice President of BYD Group and Dean of the Automotive New Technology Research Institute, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
Cooperation Timeline: From NFC Car Keys (2023) to In-Vehicle Fast Charging (2024)
Public data shows that the cooperation between the two parties has a long history. Since 2023, Honor and BYD have collaborated in the field of mobile phone NFC car keys, allowing BYD car owners to use Honor mobile phones to lock and unlock their vehicles.
Starting from 2023, Honor and BYD have achieved technological breakthroughs in the field of mobile phone NFC car keys, enabling BYD car owners to easily lock and unlock their vehicles with Honor mobile phones. In 2024, their cooperation was further expanded to the in-vehicle fast charging scenario.
2025 Deepened Collaboration: Vehicle-Phone Connectivity, User-Centric Features & Production Efficiency Upgrade
In 2025, the two parties will deepen their collaboration based on the technical foundation of mobile-phone-vehicle connectivity. Denza (a brand under BYD) will be the first to access Honor’s connected car system, which will then be gradually extended to all BYD brand lines, realizing seamless interaction across devices and smooth service handover.

Notably, this cross-domain technical synergy is not only limited to user-end experience optimization but also extends to BYD’s auto parts production chain, driving the implementation of Automated System Boosts Output of Auto Parts. For components closely linked to vehicle-phone connectivity—such as in-vehicle central control modules, NFC car key sensors, and fast-charging interface components—Honor’s intelligent control algorithms will be integrated into BYD’s automated production lines. This integration enables real-time adjustment of assembly parameters (e.g., precision soldering of circuit boards, alignment of sensor modules) by the automated system, reducing manual intervention errors by over 20% and increasing the monthly output of these core parts by approximately 15%. This not only ensures stable component supply for BYD’s full-line models to access the Honor connected car system but also lays a foundation for the scalable promotion of smart vehicle technologies.
In terms of user experience, users can use the mirroring mode to accurately project the mobile phone interface onto the 15.6-inch central control screen, ensuring driving safety while enjoying convenient app operations; the privacy mode prevents call content from being displayed externally; the navigation handover function can automatically sync the route planned on the mobile phone to the vehicle system; the music continuation technology enables seamless connection between the music playback progress on the mobile phone and the in-vehicle audio system; and the large-screen video viewing function leverages the vehicle system hardware to create a theater-level audio-visual experience.
