Recently, Siasun Robotics, known as “the first listed robotics company” in China, released its semi-annual report for 2025.

The report shows that in the first half of the year, the company achieved an operating income of 1.66 billion yuan, a slight year-on-year decrease of only 0.07%, maintaining a basically stable revenue scale; its net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was -95.3582 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 54.32%; and its non-recurring net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was -122 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 12.66%. In terms of profitability, the company’s gross profit margin stood at 14.62%, also a slight decrease compared with the same period last year.

From the perspective of product segments, the performance of various business lines presents a “stark contrast”. The operating income of industrial robots reached 270 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 46.11%, with a gross profit margin of 19.89%. In contrast, the other three major businesses all achieved year-on-year revenue growth: the operating income of automated assembly & testing production lines and system integration was 739 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.60%, with a gross profit margin of 10.04%; the operating income of logistics and warehousing automated complete sets of equipment was 327 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.83%, with a gross profit margin of 10.49%; the operating income of transportation automation systems was 50.9569 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 61.93%, with a gross profit margin of 4.86%. In addition, the operating income of semiconductor equipment was 269 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 15.88%, but its gross profit margin was as high as 27.62%, remaining one of the company’s strongest business segments.

Despite short-term performance pressure, Siasun has not slowed down its pace of innovation and continues to consolidate its core competitiveness through R&D investment. In the first half of the year, the company’s R&D investment reached approximately 137 million yuan, a significant year-on-year increase of 15.89%. As of June 30, 2025, the company held 737 patents, including 458 invention patents, 145 utility model patents, and 134 design patents; it also owned 223 software copyrights, highlighting its solid technological strength.

At the same time, government subsidies provided a certain buffer for its first-half performance. When releasing the financial report, Siasun Robotics announced simultaneously that it had received government subsidies of approximately 24.4444 million yuan, accounting for 12.62% of the absolute value of the company’s latest audited net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company. As of June 30, 2025, about 14.7443 million yuan was included in deferred income; and about 9.7001 million yuan was included in other income. The above subsidies increased the company’s total profit in the first half of 2025 by approximately 9.7001 million yuan (unaudited).

In 2007, Siasun Robotics successfully stood out in the global bidding of General Motors, becoming the first domestic robotics enterprise to break into the international supply chain.

After years of in-depth development, Siasun Robotics has built an integrated full-industry value chain covering independent core technologies, core components, core products, and industry-specific system solutions. It independently masters core technologies such as industrial robot control, servo system design, robot software design and programming, kinematics planning, 3D vision, and force sensing. These technological reserves not only support its diversified product matrix but also serve as a “moat” to resist industry cyclical fluctuations.

It is precisely for this reason that Siasun Robotics has won many “prestigious titles”, such as being the first enterprise in China engaged in robot industrialization and robot export, one of the enterprises with the most abundant product categories in the industrial robot field, and one of the few international suppliers capable of providing customers with complete digital factory solutions.

In the first half of this year, Siasun Robotics achieved “fast, accurate, and effective” progress in optimizing core products and expanding industry applications.

On one hand, Siasun accelerated the promotion of the standardization model for 6-axis industrial robots, achieving rapid sales growth and strengthening its core competitiveness in the robot industry chain. On the other hand, the company focused on “upgrading and enhancing” its products: for example, it launched application packages for spot welding robots, independently developed motion planning algorithms with the addition of Nurbs curve optimization, variable acceleration functions for servo motors, and the IMRS 2.0 software platform, further upgrading its “hardware-software synergy” capabilities.

In the segmented scenarios of the automated assembly & testing production lines and system integration business, the Packing Machine with Multiple Vibratory Bowlslaunched by Siasun has delivered outstanding performance. This equipment integrates multiple sets of automatic feeding mechanisms with vibratory bowls and a self-developed visual positioning system, enabling it to simultaneously complete the orderly arrangement, accurate sorting, and automated packaging of small components of various specifications (such as electronic components and hardware accessories). By linking with the production line’s MES system, it realizes real-time dynamic adjustment of feeding speed and packaging specifications. Currently, it has been applied to the SMT component packaging production lines of well-known domestic electronic manufacturing enterprises. Compared with the traditional manual-assisted packaging mode, it increases the packaging efficiency of a single production line by 40% and reduces the material loss rate to less than 0.5%, becoming one of the important supports for the revenue growth of its automation integration business.

In terms of market implementation, Siasun Robotics’ “cooperation network” continues to expand. In the automotive industry, the company undertakes projects for the integrated assembly of automotive chassis and battery packs for well-known domestic electric vehicle manufacturers; in the lithium battery industry, it cooperates with leading global lithium battery manufacturers and independently developed a multi-vehicle-type and multi-path scheduling system for mobile robots.

Not long ago, Siasun successfully won the bid for the integrated monitoring system project of Phase II of Shenyang Metro Line 9, with a bid amount of 37.6008 million yuan.

In overseas market expansion, Siasun Robotics also made breakthroughs: it joined hands with a well-known global new energy vehicle enterprise in the United States to successfully launch a battery pack assembly and transfer project in a new energy truck factory; it carried out cooperation with a well-known American electric vehicle customer for the first time, providing them with outdoor autonomous driving tractors with a load capacity of 5 tons; it conducted in-depth cooperation with a well-known domestic electric vehicle manufacturer on an intelligent vehicle assembly project in Indonesia, which has become a landmark project for intelligent transformation of vehicle assembly in the local area.

In the semiconductor equipment business, Siasun Robotics continues to expand the application scenarios of key links in semiconductor manufacturing with products such as atmospheric manipulators, vacuum manipulator series, EFEM (Equipment Front End Module), and vacuum transfer platforms, achieving scale effects in industrial application.

According to WSTS (World Semiconductor Trade Statistics) forecasts, the global semiconductor industry sales will exceed 700 billion US dollars in 2025, with a year-on-year growth of 15.4%. Currently, trends such as AI and automotive intelligence are driving the growth of the industrial chain, and Siasun’s layout is clearly aligned with this “industry trend”.

As one of the current hottest “technology trends”, embodied intelligence has also seen Siasun Robotics start its “layout” in this “future track”. In the first half of this year, Siasun Robotics officially established the Embodied Intelligence Research Institute, marking its full-scale deployment in embodied intelligence technology and the launch of a new journey of “robot + AI” integrated innovation.

The company will rely on its accumulated experience in robot motion control and multi-modal perception technology to focus on tackling key technologies such as large AI models, multi-modal perception, and autonomous decision-making. It will make every effort to break through the synergy bottleneck between the robot’s “brain” and “body” and build a general intelligent robot platform. In terms of scenarios, Siasun Robotics plans to deepen its presence in industrial manufacturing, medical care, and service sectors, promoting the autonomous application of intelligent robots in complex environments and accelerating the industrialization of embodied intelligence in commercial scenarios.

At present, Siasun Robotics’ related products mainly include the Siasun Intelligent Humanoid Dual-Arm Platform, the “Songyi” wheeled humanoid robot, and the “Songxing” biped humanoid robot, which are applicable to fields such as industrial manufacturing, social services, and home companionship.

Siasun’s layout in humanoid robots has long been planned. As early as last year, Siasun Robotics revealed that it had already laid out the humanoid robot field. The Chief Technology Officer of Siasun Robotics also disclosed that due to constraints such as technology and cost, Siasun will launch humanoid robots in phases. In terms of application scenarios, manufacturing is likely to be Siasun’s first choice, followed by expansion into households, the service industry, and other fields.

Proceeding from reality and avoiding overambition, this approach is more in line with industry realities and represents the most steady move.
