From Exhibition Halls to Real Scenarios: The Multi-Scenario Application of Domestic Humanoid Robots
        Domestic Humanoid Robots

Today, China’s humanoid robot industry is entering a critical phase, evolving from early laboratory proof-of-concept to large-scale multi-scenario commercial applications. Domestic humanoid robots have stepped out of exhibition halls and into real-world settings for testing and operation, capable of completing complex tasks such as precision component assembly and material handling, thus transforming their role from mere “exhibition pieces” to practical “industrial tools”.

Pioneer Applications & Core Capabilities

As reported by CCTV Business Channel in its 2025 China Economic Annual Report, UBTECH’s Walker S2 humanoid robot has been deployed at the Sany Renewable Energy 5G fully-connected flexible smart manufacturing wind power plant in Changping, Beijing. This marks the world’s first application of a humanoid robot in the wind power equipment manufacturing sector. Standing 1.76 meters tall with 52 degrees of freedom across its body, the robot can stably carry loads of up to 15 kilograms and perform complex movements such as deep squats and a 125-degree forward lean. It supports hot-swappable autonomous battery replacement, enabling 22 hours of continuous operation. Equipped with visual recognition and adaptive grasping capabilities, it can collaborate with another robot to complete bolt sorting, greasing and handling processes with millimeter-level precision. The robot effectively relieves workers from high-intensity, highly repetitive bolt processing tasks, boasting an operational efficiency three times that of human labor while improving assembly precision and consistency.

Large-Scale Implementation & Scenario Adaptability

The widespread deployment of domestic humanoid robots is not limited to industrial scenarios, but is expanding across multiple service-oriented fields. On January 22, 2026, Yuejiang Robotics announced in an official blog post that its universal humanoid robots have achieved large-scale implementation in three core scenarios—catering and retail, cultural tourism and commerce, and industrial manufacturing—backed by the proprietary technology of “high-precision bionic collaborative arm + VLM + VLA”.In the catering and retail sector, Yuejiang’s universal humanoid robot features a 7-degree-of-freedom bionic collaborative arm with a repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.05mm, enabling it to precisely complete the entire production process of beverages such as milk tea, coffee and ice cream, covering 12 procedures including cup receiving, extraction, frothing and flavoring. A single robot can handle more than 300 orders per day with an error rate of less than 0.5%. Paired with a VLM (Vision-Language Model), it can accurately interpret personalized order requirements such as “less sugar, no ice, double pearls”.In cultural tourism and commerce, the robot has demonstrated exceptional scenario adaptability at the Shenzhen K11 Art House cinema. It can operate autonomously for 14 consecutive hours a day and produce over 1,000 servings of popcorn daily. This application represents a pivotal leap for humanoid robots from laboratory R&D to commercial practical operation. Its core competitive advantage lies in the ability to handle diverse tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-precision execution, providing merchants with an innovative solution for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Value Release & Industry Empowerment

Beyond industrial and commercial service scenarios, domestic humanoid robots are also creating tangible value in the elderly care and rehabilitation sectors, realizing full-dimensional empowerment of social life and industries.Fourier Intelligence’s GR-1 humanoid robot was already deployed in rehabilitation institutions and nursing homes across multiple regions in 2025. It is equipped with functions such as thermal imaging vital sign monitoring, night patrols and emergency call response, filling the gap in professional rehabilitation resources, easing the burden on medical staff and delivering intelligent solutions for elderly care and rehabilitation services.Keenon Robotics’ Xman-F1 robot has been developed for the commercial service sector, with multi-modal interaction capabilities. It can perform refined services including guest greeting and guidance, order taking and food delivery, popcorn making and beverage preparation, making it well-suited for service-oriented scenarios such as catering outlets, hotels and shopping malls.
