Recently, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council officially released the first batch of 40 central enterprises’ artificial intelligence strategic high-value scenarios at the “AI Rejuvenation, Industrial Win-Win” Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Forum. The scenario applications cover 16 fields including industrial manufacturing, smart energy, iron and steel metallurgy, material research and development, medicine and medical care, information and communication, and smart agriculture.

 

Industrial Manufacturing: AI Deeply Penetrates Precision Production Links

In the field of industrial manufacturing, it covers three key application scenarios: Aviation Industry Corporation’s “Machine Vision C919 Full Aircraft Fatigue Test Damage Detection”, China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s “Data-Model Dual-Driven Intelligent Prediction of Ship Structural Stress Field”, and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China’s “AI Composite Material Performance Intelligent Prediction”. Among them, in the production of precision parts, the nut automatic assembly machine equipped with AI visual recognition and adaptive adjustment algorithms can realize high-speed and accurate assembly of nuts of different specifications by real-time detection of parameters such as nut size deviation and thread integrity, with the defective rate controlled below 0.05%, providing intelligent support for the standardized production of high-end equipment manufacturing.

Information and Communication: Three Scenarios Consolidate the Digital-Intelligent Base

In the field of information and communication, China Telecom’s “Full-Level Intelligent Penetrating Supervision System”, China Mobile’s “Public Cloud Full-Process AI + Disposal of 100-Million-Level Cloud Threats”, and China Tower’s “‘Mountains, Rivers, Forests, Fields, Lakes, Grass and Sand’ Spatial Digital-Intelligent Governance” have become three major application scenarios.

 

Resource Inclination: Accelerate the Large-Scale Implementation of AI Technology

It is reported that the selected scenarios will give priority to resource inclination such as funds and data, promoting the transformation of AI technology from “bonsai-style” pilots to “rainforest-style” large-scale applications.

To more effectively integrate into the wave of artificial intelligence development, in 2024, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council launched the central enterprise “AI+” special action. On February 19, 2025, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council held a meeting to deepen the deployment of the central enterprise “AI+” special action. The meeting emphasized that state-owned assets and central enterprises should seize the strategic window period for the development of the artificial intelligence industry, strengthen scientific and technological innovation, focus on key areas to accelerate the mastery of “root technologies”, firmly tackle large models, actively participate in the construction of an open ecosystem, promote more “from 0 to 1” original innovations, and accelerate the transformation of achievements and industrialization development.
