Currently, the two parties have launched Robotaxi road tests in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Pony.ai has localized its autonomous driving technologies for Qatar\u2019s complex environments and working conditions, enabling L4-level autonomous vehicles to quickly adapt to the local climate, road infrastructure, and traffic scenarios.<\/p>\n

It is understood that Pony.ai\u2019s Robotaxi vehicles adopt a multi-sensor fusion solution, integrating mass-produced sensors such as high-performance lidar, millimeter-wave radar, and cameras. Equipped with 360\u00b0 omnidirectional and full-scenario blind-spot-free perception, coupled with a self-developed sensor self-cleaning system, they can effectively cope with harsh weather and environments. This autonomous driving system has passed vehicle-grade testing in desert environments and extreme high temperatures to ensure the safety and reliability of L4 autonomous driving operations.<\/p>\n

Focusing on the application and deployment of autonomous driving, Pony.ai continues to make efforts in multiple international markets to expand its global layout. In Asia, Pony.ai has obtained South Korea\u2019s national-level autonomous driving test license and extended the test in Seoul\u2019s Gangnam District to 7\u00d724 hours in April. In the Middle East, Pony.ai formed a strategic cooperation with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority in May, announcing that the first batch of Robotaxis will start road tests in 2025 and full unmanned commercial operation will be promoted in 2026. In Europe, Pony.ai launched Robotaxi tests in Luxembourg in June, first starting in the city of Lenningen and expanding to more areas.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Pony.ai has made breakthrough progress in the mass production of Robotaxis. After launching the 7th-generation autonomous driving system at the Shanghai Auto Show in April this year, Pony.ai successively started the mass production and roll-off of GAC Aion Bawanglong Robotaxi and BAIC Arcfox Alpha T5 Robotaxi in June and July. It has completed production capacity ramp-up and entered stable production, manufacturing over 200 Robotaxi vehicles within two months. During the production process, Automatic material arranging and packaging equipment plays a key role: through a visual recognition system, it accurately sorts precision components such as lidar lenses and millimeter-wave radar modules, automatically completes arrangement and anti-static packaging, providing standardized material support for the local assembly of vehicles in overseas markets and further improving mass production and delivery efficiency.<\/p>\n

According to Pony.ai\u2019s previously released Q2 financial report, its total revenue in the second quarter of this year reached 154 million yuan (US$21.5 million), a year-on-year increase of 75.9% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 53.5%. Among them, the revenue from Robotaxi passenger fares surged by more than 300% year-on-year.<\/p>\n
