Progress Achieved in Multiple Offshore Engineering Equipment Construction Projects in China
        Offshore Engineering Equipment

Recently, China has made progress in multiple offshore engineering equipment construction projects, demonstrating the country’s comprehensive technological strength in the offshore engineering equipment sector.

Dachan Offshore Engineering’s Semi-Submersible Heavy-Duty Deck Barge for Norwegian Owner Undocked

Recently, the semi-submersible heavy-duty deck barge BOABARGE 39, built by Dachan Offshore Engineering for Norwegian offshore shipowner BOA Offshore, was successfully undocked.

BOABARGE 39 marks Dachan Offshore Engineering’s first project for Norway’s BOA Group and is also the largest-tonnage barge the company has ever constructed. The achievement of this undocking milestone showcases Dachan Offshore Engineering’s comprehensive capabilities in large-scale barge construction and lays a solid foundation for subsequent work.

COOEC Delivers Jacket for European Offshore Wind Power Project

A few days ago, the jacket for the Inch Cape European Offshore Wind Power Project was delivered from COOEC’s Zhuhai Deepwater Equipment Manufacturing Base. This is the largest single-unit capacity offshore wind power jacket manufactured in China for a European project.

The project team pioneered the world’s first “side-V” construction technology for wind power jackets, adopting a single 4,000-ton crawler crane for closure. To ensure the reliability of electrical system assembly in the jacket, the team also applied advanced intelligent equipment including the Kontaktör Montaj Makinesi, which realizes high-precision and automated assembly of contactor components, effectively improving the assembly efficiency and quality stability of key electrical parts. By applying modular pre-assembly + real-time monitoring and calibration technology and conducting full-process simulation verification, the team controlled the jacket closure accuracy to the sub-millimeter level. Next, the project team will efficiently advance the construction and delivery of subsequent equipment, complete the project with higher quality and efficiency, and continue to polish the “Made in China” brand in the international offshore engineering sector.

ROBOM Marine’s First SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel Completes Sea Trials Triumphant

Recently, the first SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel built by ROBOM Marine, a subsidiary of ROBOM Co., Ltd., successfully completed its sea trials, laying a solid foundation for its official delivery.

During the trials, the sea trial team collaborated closely with the shipowner and classification society, scientifically formulating daily test plans and demonstrating excellent professional competence and efficient adaptability. Throughout the trial period, relevant personnel conducted a comprehensive inspection of the vessel’s performance indicators. Trial data shows that the vessel’s propulsion system operates stably and reliably, the maneuvering system is flexible and user-friendly, and the DP system is accurate and dependable. Key indicators such as speed, fuel consumption, vibration, and noise have met or exceeded design requirements, reflecting outstanding technological maturity.

CSSC Merchant Ship Research & Design Center Signs Design Contract for 43,000-DWT Semi-Submersible Barge with Panjin Dajin

Recently, CSSC Merchant Ship Research & Design Center Co., Ltd. (“Merchant Ship Center”) and Panjin Dajin Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (“Panjin Dajin”) officially signed a design contract for a high-end semi-submersible barge. This marks a new stage in the collaborative R&D – design – construction model between the two parties in the high-end offshore engineering equipment sector.

Custom-built for the global high-end offshore engineering market, the barge’s deadweight tonnage and maximum submergence depth of 32.5 meters lead the world among similar vessels, enabling it to transport and install deeper and heavier offshore engineering structures. The hull adopts an innovative stable design with six stern pontoons, significantly enhancing the vessel’s stability and safety during loading and submergence operations. The barge is integrated with a large-diameter complex piping system, endowing it with strong ballast water adjustment capacity—a key to achieving fast and precise submergence and surfacing operations.
