Recently, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission officially approved the Neiguanzhuang 110kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project, aiming to further improve the regional power grid structure, enhance power supply capacity and reliability, and support the high-quality economic and social development of the capital.
Project Overview
The project is located in Lixian Town, Daxing District, covering an area of 4,560 square meters, and is scheduled to start construction in 2026.The scope of construction includes:
Building one new 110kV substation
Installing two 50 MVA on-load tap-changing transformers
Adding 40 feeders of 10kV outgoing lines
These hardware upgrades will strengthen the foundation of regional power supply.

The project will prioritize power supply for key livelihood and industrial projects, including the new campus of Civil Aviation University of China, the Lixian Station TOD comprehensive development project, and resettlement housing in the start-up area of the Airport Economic Zone.With accelerated construction of the Airport Economic Zone, regional power load continues to grow rapidly. The project will directly strengthen the regional main grid structure and effectively improve power supply capacity and reliability.
Empowering Emerging Industries and Promoting Industrial Development
Adopting advanced on-load tap-changing transformers and an intelligent control system, the project enables precise matching of power supply and demand, providing solid energy support for emerging industries such as aviation logistics and digital economy.The newly added 40 feeders of 10kV outgoing lines can flexibly meet the diversified power demand of key projects, as well as the power supply needs of newly built communities and public service facilities in the surrounding areas.
Supporting Smart Energy and Boosting New Energy Development
Upon operation, Neiguanzhuang Substation will become a key node of the regional smart energy system, providing important support for the new energy vehicle charging network and the connection of distributed energy resources.By forming an efficient and coordinated intelligent power supply network with the surrounding power grids, it will significantly improve the operation efficiency and power supply quality of the regional grid, inject sustainable and reliable energy into the high-quality development of the Airport Economic Zone, help build a modern smart energy demonstration zone in southern Beijing, and play an important role in serving the construction of the capital’s “Four Centers”.
Upon completion and operation of the Neiguanzhuang 110kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project, the power grid capacity of the eastern area of the Daxing Airport Economic Zone will be greatly upgraded. It will accurately ensure power supply for industries and residents, empower the development of new energy, and inject strong energy impetus into the high-quality development of the region.
