Another Giant Enters Embodied Intelligence; Former Tencent Vice President Joins
Robotic Small Product Tray Loading System

Recently, media outlets learned from informed sources that Noitom Robotics has completed a multi-million yuan angel round of financing, with investments from well-known institutions such as Alpha and Matrix Partners China. The company is also advancing its Pre-A round of financing.

According to public information, Noitom Robotics was established in March this year as a key strategic move by motion capture giant Noitom in the embodied intelligence track. The company focuses on providing full-link data solutions for the humanoid robot/embodied intelligence industry, covering everything from real robots to human interaction.

Star-Studded Leadership Team

Noitom Robotics has assembled an impressive team of executives from major technology companies:

Dr. Luan Qing (CPO): Former senior R&D and product manager at Microsoft, later served as vice president of SenseTime’s Digital Space Business Group, where he led the development of the “SenseAR” engine and launched the industry’s first controllable digital human platform “Ruying”.

Xu Anmin (Vice President of Hardware Engineering): A veteran in consumer hardware, previously a Huawei Terminal Fellow (top technical expert), and has served as hardware director at Smartisan Technology, ByteDance’s Xingshi Laboratory, and Xihongxian Technology, leading the development and delivery of multiple flagship mobile phones and XR terminals.

Han Lei (Chief Scientist & Algorithm Director): Former Tencent Embodied Intelligence Technology Center vice president who joined in July, a Peking University PhD with over 60 papers in top journals and conferences, whose research on “full-scenario motion control for quadruped robots” was featured on the cover of Nature Machine Intelligence.

Business Operations

Noitom Robotics’ motion capture solutions have empowered multiple robot manufacturers including Tokyo Robotics and Qianxun Intelligence. Beyond humanoid robot development, the company’s technology has also been applied to optimize industrial automation scenarios—for instance, it has jointly developed a Robotic Small Product Tray Loading System with manufacturing clients. This system leverages Noitom’s high-precision motion capture data to calibrate the robot’s loading trajectory: by capturing the subtle movements of human operators in efficient manual loading processes, it generates optimized motion models for the robotic system, enabling it to flexibly adapt to small products of different sizes (such as electronic components, precision fasteners) and tray specifications. Combined with NVIDIA ISAAC’s simulation verification, the system achieves a loading accuracy of ±0.1mm, reduces product collision loss by over 80%, and boosts loading efficiency by 2.5 times compared to traditional automated systems.

In addition, Noitom Robotics has built an embodied intelligence data factory using NVIDIA ISAAC, enabling robot companies to access motion capture and high-precision tracking data streams for driving robots in both simulated and real environments.

As humanoid robots gradually move from laboratories to factories and daily life, the lack of “data nourishment” has consistently hindered large-scale implementation. With Noitom’s rich motion capture ecosystem, leadership team from Microsoft, Tencent, ByteDance and other major companies, and proven applications in industrial scenarios like the Robotic Small Product Tray Loading System, Noitom Robotics is well-positioned to become a key force activating the entire robotics industry.
