On July 26, Cui Yonghui, Member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, and Wu Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, inspected Zhonglun New Materials’ new energy membrane project. At the project site, Cui Yonghui asked in detail about the production start time, market application, production capacity scale and subsequent plans. Zhonglun New Materials’ new energy membrane project features a large market space, wide application fields and high technical difficulty. The total area of the project is about 134,000 square meters, with a total investment of about 2.5 billion yuan. It includes the construction of a science and innovation building, several world-leading new energy membrane production lines and related supporting facilities, which are used for the research and development and production of ultra-thin capacitor membranes and composite current collector base membranes. Ultra-thin capacitor membranes are mainly used in new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, energy storage, wind power and other fields; composite current collector base membranes are mainly used in power batteries, energy storage batteries, consumer batteries and other fields. Both belong to the most promising “high-precision and advanced” new energy materials.
