DJI’s first floor-cleaning robot series, DJI ROMO, features a transparent robot and transparent base station design. It is the only transparent base station in the industry, combining minimalist aesthetics with a precision mechanical texture, which can enhance the home style. ROMO A comes with a transparent robot and a white base station, while ROMO S features a white robot and a white base station.
On the evening of August 6, DJI’s first floor-cleaning robot series, DJI ROMO, was officially released, including three models: ROMO P, ROMO A, and ROMO S. Among them, the entry-level DJI ROMO S floor-cleaning robot (water tank version) starts at 4,699 yuan and is eligible for national subsidies.
This floor-cleaning robot had already attracted attention due to its unique transparent base station when it was exposed earlier.
ROMO P adopts a transparent robot and transparent base station design, being the only transparent base station in the industry. It combines minimalist aesthetics with a precision mechanical texture, which can enhance the home style. ROMO A is equipped with a transparent robot and a white base station, and ROMO S has a white robot and a white base station.
All models are equipped with the same obstacle avoidance system as the flagship drone, featuring binocular fisheye vision sensors and 3 wide-angle solid-state LiDARs. They can accurately identify wires with a diameter of more than 2mm and obstacles of more than 15mm, even being able to precisely detect playing cards on the ground, achieving millimeter-level obstacle avoidance.
With a suction power of 25,000Pa, combined with a specially optimized air duct design, it can completely remove dust from gaps. It uses 0-tangle dual rolling brushes, which can handle ultra-long hair and large particles of garbage.
Equipped with flexible dual mechanical arms, combined with real-time mapping and fitting algorithms, it achieves 100% dead-angle-free cleaning, easily cleaning corners of walls, table legs and other areas.
It has a built-in 164ml large water tank, supporting continuous wet mopping to remove heavy stains. In the combined sweeping and mopping mode, a full water tank can clean about 200 square meters.
The base station pioneered high-pressure hot water washing technology, with the base station’s mopping plate requiring no maintenance for 200 days. Coupled with the high-temperature drying function, it eliminates dirt accumulation and odors from the source. It also pioneered a triple soundproof chamber, with a noise level of about 65dBA when collecting dust and about 40dBA when drying, avoiding disturbing family members.
ROMO P supports dual cleaning fluids: decontamination cleaning fluid and bactericidal cleaning fluid, which can targetedly clean oil stains and pet areas. All models are equipped with a silver ion module in the clean water tank and a drying function for the robot’s dust box. ROMO P also has a dust bag UV sterilization and a sewage tank deodorization module. ROMO A and S can be optionally equipped with a sewage tank deodorization module, with an antibacterial rate of over 99.95%.
