On the afternoon of December 4, the China-Denmark Green Ship Repair and Conversion Seminar was successfully held during the Shanghai Maritime Exhibition. More than 30 representatives from relevant maritime enterprises and institutions of China and Denmark attended the seminar. COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., the chairman unit of the Ship Repair Branch of China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, hosted the event.<\/p>\n

Speeches by Both Sides<\/span><\/strong>: Anchoring the Core Value of Green Conversion and Looking Forward to Cooperation Prospects<\/p>\n

Li Yanqing, Vice President of the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, pointed out in his speech that green conversion is an inevitable requirement to improve the energy efficiency and reduce emissions of the existing fleet, and also an important part of the green development of the shipping and shipbuilding industries. China’s shipbuilding industry is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with global partners and join hands to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the maritime sector.<\/p>\n

Bjarke Wiehe B\u00f8tcher, Head of International Affairs at the Danish Maritime Association, expressed his gratitude to the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry and the relevant organizers for their careful preparation. He shared Denmark’s experience in the innovative development of green maritime technologies, affirmed the achievements of China’s shipbuilding industry in ship conversion, and expressed full confidence in future cooperation.<\/p>\n

Enterprise Exchanges and Consensus<\/span><\/strong>: Jointly Exploring Technical Paths and Pooling Cooperation Momentum<\/p>\n

Danish companies including Alfa Laval, Hempel, Everllence and Vexve\/Frese introduced their green ship conversion solutions and application cases. Leading domestic ship repair and building enterprises such as COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, CSSC Chengxi Shipyard, Youlian Shekou and Winsun Heavy Industry shared their experience in repair and conversion, with some enterprises mentioning the integration of efficient supporting equipment concepts\u2014for example, drawing on the precision control and energy-saving design ideas of the Automobile brush opening roll packaging machine<\/u><\/a><\/span>\u00a0to optimize the packaging process of ship repair parts, improving packaging efficiency while reducing material waste and energy consumption. Both sides jointly discussed the technical paths and commercial practices of green conversion.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

At the seminar, the two sides also exchanged views on topics of mutual interest such as market demand and effect evaluation of ship conversion. They agreed to take this seminar as an opportunity to further strengthen dialogue and communication, and jointly explore replicable and promotable green conversion models. It is expected that Chinese and Danish enterprises will join hands in innovation to inject sustained impetus into the global maritime green transformation.<\/p>\n

Relevant personnel from the Department of Statistics and Information of the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry and the Comprehensive Technology and Economic Research Institute of CSSC attended the seminar accompanied by the organizers.<\/p>\n
