The 2nd Session of the 3rd Council (Supervisory Board) of Wenzhou Laser Industry Association was successfully held at the Science and Technology Complex Building of Wenzhou University during the Spring Festival of 2026. The meeting reviewed the work in 2025, discussed strategies for industry development, and jointly outlined the blueprint for 2026.
The meeting reviewed and adopted important documents including the 2025 Work Report, 2025 Financial Report, and 2026 Work Plan (Draft), and conducted in-depth discussions on key industry issues.
The association actively promoted Party-building work and established a temporary Party branch with 21 members (Feng Aixin, Xu Jiaqing, Gu Zhiyang as members of the temporary Party branch), strengthening leadership under Party building.
This was an industry event that built consensus and pooled wisdom, as well as a mobilization meeting to sound the clarion call for progress in the new year.
2025 Work Summary
At the meeting, Secretary-General Feng Aixin summarized the association’s work in 2025 from the following aspects:organizational development, member services, industrial ecosystem, talent training, standard formulation, resource connection, and industry leadership.A collaborative mechanism of “decision-making by the Council, execution by the Secretariat, and supervision by the Supervisory Board” was formed.
The meeting reviewed and approved the work plan for the new year, defining the key work directions for 2026.The association will closely follow the industrial development layout of the province and the city, focus on fostering new quality productive forces, and fully support the high-quality development of the laser industrial cluster.
Subsequently, Deputy Secretary-General Pan Guanghui reported on the association’s financial work for 2025.
Discussion Items
During the discussion session, representatives spoke freely and expressed their views.Heated discussions were held on topics including the integrated development of laser and artificial intelligence, research on core key technologies, breakthroughs in process innovation, coordinated development of the industrial chain, talent training mechanisms, and corporate financing services.
Leaders from Wenzhou University, Zhejiang Innovation Center of Laser Intelligent Equipment, Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College, Lanzhou University of Technology, and Wenzhou Institute of Technology put forward valuable suggestions from the perspectives of talent training and technological innovation.Enterprise representatives from Pentium Laser, Times Laser, Fuguang Technology, Glenba Laser and others shared development experience and conducted in-depth exchanges on common industry concerns.Wenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center, Guansheng Co., Ltd. and other institutions also contributed insights from the perspectives of platform construction and industrial application.
These valuable insights provided important references for the association’s work in the new year and demonstrated the spirit of unity, collaboration, and joint development among Wenzhou’s laser industry practitioners.

Clear Coordination Path from Wenzhou Bay New Area
Director Wang Ning from the Emerging Industry Bureau of Wenzhou Bay New Area stated that full support would be given to the association’s work, with deepened government-enterprise cooperation focusing on joint investment promotion and brand promotion:
Jointly build an industrial chain project information database for precise investment promotion;
Organize joint exhibitions to enhance the international visibility and influence of the “Wenzhou Laser” brand.
President Xue Wei Emphasized the Role of the Association Platform
Academician Xue Wei, President of the association, pointed out that, as the president unit, the Laser & Optoelectronic Industry Research Institute should give full play to its pivotal role as a platform institution to better serve industrial development and gather the strength of members.He stressed that the core task for 2026 is to fully support the construction of the “New Optics Valley” and play a key role in investment, talent introduction, and international cooperation.Member units were encouraged to strengthen interaction and jointly promote higher-quality development of Wenzhou’s laser industry.
Leaders from Wenzhou Bureau of Science and Technology Proposed “Three Focuses”
Deputy Director Jin Longjun of Wenzhou Bureau of Science and Technology fully affirmed the association’s work and put forward three guiding suggestions:
Focus on cluster ecology, promote the construction of innovation consortia, and actively participate in formulating industry standards;
Focus on talent engine, deepen the integration of “education, technology, talent, and industry”, and organize technical consultations and achievement roadshows;
Focus on association capacity, learn from precise service models such as the “Oujiang Chamber of Commerce and Industry”, and effectively link resources from government, enterprises, universities, and other parties.
2026 New Year Outlook: Working Together for Greater Success
The past year has laid a solid foundation; the new year calls for further progress.In 2025, we worked hand in hand to consolidate the foundation for development; in 2026, we will move forward together to embark on a new journey.
