Earlier, the trunk support room discovered through drone patrol monitoring that mechanical construction operations were taking place within 3 meters of the 651# marker near the Wuhan-Ezhou relay section of the National Grade I Trunk Nanjing-Hanjiang Optical Cable. This construction site is adjacent to the buried optical cable, and if not handled in a timely manner, it is highly likely to cause a cable break accident, directly affecting the stable operation of the regional communication network. The trunk support room immediately coordinated with the Jiangxia Trunk Branch, and maintenance personnel rushed to the scene to coordinate disposal, successfully avoiding a major communication risk.

It can solve various emergencies faster and more intelligently.” The person in charge introduced that to comprehensively promote the intelligent transformation of trunk maintenance, Wuhan Telecom has actively deployed the “Artificial Intelligence +” initiative, established a special task force, and fully promoted the landing of the “AI + Drones” intelligent inspection data solution. The task force took the initiative to shoulder the heavy responsibility, independently completed the entire process of Longquan drone airport construction, equipment installation and commissioning, patrol data collection, test flight verification, power channel construction, etc., strictly followed operating procedures, and successfully overcame key links such as base station hardware erection, software configuration, and signal testing. At the same time, it established and improved equipment operation and maintenance accounts to ensure the standardized and orderly progress of all work.
