
More than 60 robot projects and products for stir-frying, steaming, grilling, pancake-making, and coffee-brewing from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hangzhou, Xiong’an and other regions participated in the competition. On August 20, the 2025 Digital & Intelligent Food Robot Competition officially kicked off. Over 60 robot projects and products focused on stir-frying, steaming, grilling, pancake-making, and coffee-brewing, hailing from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hangzhou, Xiong’an and beyond, took part in the event. Expert judges carried out a holistic assessment of the entries, considering criteria including innovation, technical feasibility, application potential, market outlook, and food safety.
Since its launch, this year’s competition has garnered widespread attention and active response from all sectors of society, attracting enthusiastic participation from numerous technology enterprises and innovation teams. The projects that stand out in the preliminary round will advance to the final, which is scheduled to be held on the morning of August 25, 2025, at Beijing Garden Expo Hotel. The final will highlight competitive rivalry, the integration of exhibition and competition, and engaging interactive activities. The participating digital & intelligent food robots will prepare dishes, pastries, and beverages on-site. Professional judges will score the entries on the spot, while public judges will cast votes; guests and audience members will have the opportunity to taste Chinese cuisine, Western delicacies, and featured snacks. Through this taste experience, they can feel the in-depth integration of technology and food, and experience the new-quality productivity on the tip of the tongue. Concurrently with the competition, the 2025 Digital & Intelligent Food Ecosystem Conference will be held.
