January 22 News – Apple will unveil the brand-new iOS 27 operating system at WWDC to be held in the first half of this year, and the iPhone 18 series will come pre-installed with iOS 27 at the factory.
WWDC 2025 Highlight: iOS 27 Launch & Campos Siri Debut
It is reported that iOS 27 will debut an all-new Siri chatbot codenamed Campos. Apple plans to build Siri into a chat application that can compete with Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini and OpenAI ChatGPT. This chatbot will be integrated into iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27, replacing the existing Siri. Apple intends to power the chatbot with a custom model based on Google Gemini. Boasting the same natural language conversation capabilities as ChatGPT and other similar chatbots, it can be activated via the Siri wake word or by long-pressing the side button of an iPhone or iPad.
All-Round Capabilities & Cross-System Ecosystem Integration
Its features include web search, image generation, programming assistance, information summarization, and uploaded file analysis. It can also access personal data on the device to complete tasks, view the content of currently open windows and screens, and modify system settings. This time, Apple’s Siri will be deeply integrated into all of Apple’s native apps, including Photos, Mail, Messages, Music and Apple TV. It can access and analyze in-app content, and accurately understand and execute user commands. According to the plan, Apple first rolled out a personalized Siri in iOS 26.4, where the Apple Intelligence features initially promised in iOS 18 were implemented. The more powerful Siri chatbot will then make its debut in iOS 27.

Notably, whether Apple uses its own private cloud servers or Google’s Tensor servers, robust computing power support is required. Every question Siri processes and every image it generates incurs costs for Apple. For this reason, the chatbot version of Siri will be a paid service, with the specific pricing details yet to be officially announced.
