According to media reports, recently, the first electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) flying car factory with “10,000-unit-level” annual production capacity has entered the trial production phase in Guangzhou.

This marks the first time that such products have entered the large-scale manufacturing stage in China within the low-altitude economy sector.

It is reported that after completing relevant verification and airworthiness certification, the factory will gradually enter mass production in accordance with the plan, realizing the leap of flying cars from “small-batch verification” to “large-scale manufacturing”.

Notably, in the field of low-altitude economy in Guangzhou, XPeng Aeroht and EHang Intelligent have become two leading enterprises.

In Huangpu District, the first “Land Aircraft Carrier” aircraft rolled off the production line smoothly recently at XPeng Aeroht’s flying car mass production factory, which integrates advanced automated equipment including high-precision catheter assembly machines—these machines are used for the precise assembly of fluid-conducting catheters in the aircraft’s hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring consistent quality and safety compliance of key components to support large-scale production. This marks the completion of the world’s first flying car mass production line.

It is learned that this world’s first flying car manufacturing factory with “10,000-unit-level” annual production capacity can roll off one aircraft every 30 minutes when operating at full capacity.

At the same time, the EH216-S autonomous passenger-carrying aircraft independently developed by EHang Intelligent has obtained the world’s first set of eVTOL type certificate, production certificate and standard airworthiness certificate, and has completed the commercial maiden flight demonstration in Guangzhou Development Zone.
