Zoomlion has a long history of applying robot technology in the construction machinery industry. As early as 2006, Zoomlion’s lifting machinery factory took the lead in introducing programmable industrial robotic arms, which were mainly used for precision welding of crane components, opening a new chapter in intelligent manufacturing.

• Deepening of Intelligentization: Since 2019, Adaptive Robot Clusters Have Reshaped the Entire Production Process

Over time, Zoomlion’s exploration in the field of intelligent manufacturing has continued to deepen. Starting from 2019, the company has widely used adaptive robots with perception and mobility capabilities, including robotic arms with visual and force-tactile recognition, as well as AMR autonomous mobile robots. At Zoomlion Smart Industry City in Changsha, Hunan, more than 2,000 industrial robots have been integrated into over 300 intelligent manufacturing production lines. The entire production process, from steel plate warehousing to cutting, welding, machining, painting, and final assembly, has realized full-life-cycle traceability and intelligent scheduling through QR codes.

These robots have already played an important role in Zoomlion’s factories, conducting pilots in machining, logistics, assembly, quality inspection, and other links, effectively improving production efficiency and quality.

In logistics, humanoid robots can independently carry out handling operations, provide loading and unloading services for the assembly process, and perform assembly and pre-assembly of components. In quality inspection, they use their built-in visual systems and specialized inspection equipment to accurately detect components, ensuring the stability of product quality. Zoomlion has also built a humanoid robot training ground with nearly 100 workstations for large-scale data collection and developed the Zhongke Yungu Embodied Intelligence Platform. This platform includes a cloud-based super brain, end-to-end algorithm models for both large and small brains, and a complete set of toolchains, which can connect all industrial robots and humanoid robots to ensure their self-evolution and closed-loop operation.
