From July 26th to 28th, the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) with the theme of “Intelligent Era, Co-prosperity on the Same Globe” was held in Shanghai. At the “AI Rejuvenation, Industrial Win-Win” Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Forum, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council released the first batch of 40 “Central Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Strategic High-Value Scenarios”. The “Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis of Cardio-Cerebrovascular Stroke” project of Neusoft Medical, strategically invested by the Capital Company of China General Technology Group, was successfully selected.
Stroke is one of the major diseases endangering human health, with about 1.8 million new cases in China every year. After a stroke occurs, every minute of interrupted cerebral blood flow leads to the death of 1.9 million neurons; 5 minutes of interruption will cause irreversible neurological damage. In response to this situation, Neusoft Medical and the National Engineering Laboratory for Internet Medical Diagnosis and Treatment Technology of Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, jointly developed the NeuBrainCARE cerebral ischemia image-assisted evaluation software. As the first domestic cerebral ischemia AI software to obtain the NMPA Class III registration certificate, it integrates artificial intelligence technologies such as deep learning, image segmentation, and pattern recognition. It can complete accurate identification and quantitative evaluation of the core area of stroke patients within 90 seconds, compressing the original 60-minute manual diagnosis process to 2.5 minutes, improving the diagnosis efficiency by more than 80%. It can assist doctors in efficiently deciding on treatment plans such as thrombolysis and thrombectomy, significantly improving the survival rate and rehabilitation quality of patients.
Up to now, the NeuBrainCare software has been deployed in more than 200 hospitals across the country, covering many well-known stroke centers such as Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University and Beijing Shijitan Hospital. Through in-depth collaboration with clinical practice, the software has built an intelligent diagnosis and treatment platform based on multi-modal data such as CT/CTA/CTP and MRI/DWI/FLAIR, realizing intelligence, standardization, and accessibility at the grassroots level in key links such as stroke identification, classification, evaluation, and decision support.
