China’s Robot Patent Boom Continues: Who Will Lead the Race in 2026?
                Intelligent Robot

In recent years, the number of patents in China’s robotics industry has grown exponentially. Behind this patent boom lies the concentrated technological accumulation of Chinese robotics enterprises.

As we enter 2026, the industry’s innovation momentum remains strong. Recently, many companies have successively obtained or filed key patents.

ZhiYuan Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., an affiliate of ZhiYuan Robotics, has been granted an appearance design patent for a “robotic hand”. Designed for intelligent robots, this robotic hand supports gesture interaction, object recognition, grasping, and other scenarios.

Zhejiang QiangNao Technology Co., Ltd. has published a patent application for “A Bionic Finger, Robotic Hand and Robot”. According to the patent abstract, the bionic finger collects information via tactile sensors; the control unit then drives the connecting components to rotate, bending and stretching the tactile joints to achieve improved bionic performance.

Hangzhou Yunchuanshu Technology Co., Ltd. has published a patent for “Method and Device for Self-Recovery After Robot Fall”. By detecting the robot’s posture, the system inputs realtime and preset parameter sequences into a pre trained fall recovery model (trained via imitation and reinforcement learning), then outputs and executes a self recovery strategy to help the robot stand up independently, overcoming limitations of traditional fall recovery methods.

Gree Electric Appliances has obtained an invention patent for “A Control Method for Robots”. The method detects the length of the robot’s upper and lower arms and the linear acceleration of the screw assembly, judges whether they exceed the maximum safety value set for screw service life, and automatically controls speed reduction or maintains operation accordingly. This effectively protects the screw assembly from bending or breaking, improving operational reliability and service life.

                  Intelligent Robot

Shenzhen Kangguan Technology Co., Ltd. has been granted a utility model patent for an “Intelligent Companion Robot”. The robot innovatively adopts a dual mainboard design, separately controlling interaction and movement: the first mainboard manages interaction functions, and the second controls mobility. The modular separated structure allows independent upgrades, helping shorten development cycles and reduce costs.

Yushu Technology Co., Ltd. has been granted a patent for “A Robot Leg Structure and Legged Robot”. The design places the lower leg drive unit that rotates the lower leg inside the thigh rod, replacing the traditional parallel layout. This reduces space occupation, narrows the body width, and makes the overall size of the legged robot more compact.

Conclusion

At present, China’s robotics industry demonstrates remarkable advantages in both the quantity and quality of patents, covering multi level innovations from core components to complete systems. Enterprises are not only focusing on cutting edge technologies such as bionic structures and intelligent interaction, but also improving product practicality and iterability through modular and integrated design.

Looking ahead, with the further integration of artificial intelligence, sensing technology, and motion control, China’s robotics industry is expected to achieve continuous breakthroughs in technological innovation and commercialization, injecting strong momentum into the global development of robotics.
