On March 16, the world’s first robot cleaner officially “started work” in Shenzhen. This intelligent cleaning service marks the first achievement of the collaboration between Zibian Robot and 58 Group. The service is now available with a limited daily trial quota, with 58 Daojia platform dispatching matched teams of cleaners and robots at random. Cleaners are responsible for communication, complex decision-making, and detailed cleaning, while the robot performs basic tasks in the living room such as tidying desks, wiping surfaces, and picking up small pieces of trash. “The service is currently available mainly in Shenzhen, and we plan to expand to more cities in the coming months,” a representative from Zibian Robot revealed.
A New Model for Home Cleaning
The newly launched intelligent cleaning service innovatively adopts a “cleaner + robot” golden partnership model, with a standardized single service duration of 3 hours. The division of labor is clear and tailored to actual household needs: as the core executor, the cleaner communicates with users about cleaning requirements, handles complex scenario judgments, and performs detailed cleaning in hard-to-reach corners of kitchens and bathrooms; the robot acts as an efficient assistant, focusing on basic cleaning tasks in the living room area, including desk tidying, surface wiping, and small trash collection, realizing standardized delivery of repetitive work. According to a representative from Zibian Robot, the service is currently only open for limited trials in Shenzhen and can be booked via the 58 Tongcheng APP, with gradual expansion to more cities nationwide in the following months.

Technological Breakthroughs in Robot Cleaners
Unlike the “auxiliary role” of traditional household cleaning tools, the robot cleaner that has started work has achieved a leap from “tool” to “work partner”. Relying on advanced sensors and algorithms, the robot can perceive the home environment in real time, plan cleaning paths autonomously, and efficiently complete basic cleaning tasks. This not only frees cleaners from repetitive labor but also makes up for oversights in manual cleaning. Meanwhile, the professional judgment and meticulous operation of cleaners effectively overcome the limitations of robots in complex scenarios, creating a synergistic cleaning effect of 1+1>2. Zibian Robot stated that the home environment is the “ultimate test ground” for verifying the capabilities of general-purpose robots. This cooperation with 58 Daojia allows the robot to accumulate valuable data and user feedback in real home settings, accelerating technological iteration. The future goal is to make robots an intelligent and reliable life assistant for every household.
Reconstructing Home Service Supply with Human-Robot Collaboration
As the first implemented project of the strategic cooperation between the two parties, the launch of the robot cleaning service is not only an important breakthrough in the application of technology in civilian scenarios, but also reconstructs the supply model of home services. For the industry, this model provides a replicable reference path for the intelligent transformation of housekeeping services—it retains the warmth and professionalism of human services while injecting efficiency and standardization through technology, effectively alleviating the pain points of rising labor costs and uneven service quality in traditional housekeeping. It is learned that beyond housekeeping and cleaning, Zibian Robot and 58 Daojia will explore a wider range of life service scenarios in the future, continuously tapping into the application potential of robots in livelihood services.
As a frontier hub integrating global technological innovation and livelihood services, Shenzhen’s early launch of the robot cleaning service not only validates the city’s innovative capacity in public services but also sets a benchmark for the intelligent upgrading of home services nationwide. As the service gradually expands, the human-robot collaborative home service model is expected to reach more households, bringing the dividends of technology to daily life and driving the life service industry toward greater intelligence, efficiency, and inclusivity.
