The Robot Legion Takes Center Stage!
                    Robot Legion

The 15th National Games was truly eye-opening—from torch relay to medal presentation, the “stars” busy at the venues turned out to be a group of robots! These weren’t just here for show; each was equipped with unique skills and even more efficient at their tasks than humans. They weren’t mere mechanical displays, but were truly integrated into every aspect of the games, winning countless fans with their solid capabilities. On the award podium, humanoid robots delivered medals to presenters with millimeter-level precision; on the athletics field, robotic dogs trotted nimbly toward the discus landing spot; during the torch relay, a humanoid robot made a stunning appearance as the first torchbearer… This is no longer a scene from a sci-fi movie, but a real sight at the National Games venues.

Torch Relay: History Made When “Kuafu” Took the First Leg

On November 2, 2025, at the torch relay site, all eyes were on a special torchbearer—”Kuafu”, the world’s first 5G-A humanoid robot. As the starting signal sounded, it held the torch steadily and completed a 100-meter relay with a highly human-like running posture, calm and unhurried.Beneath this short 100 meters lay extraordinary technological support. Equipped with an advanced AI system, “Kuafu” could perceive its surrounding environment in real time, adjust its gait and balance independently, ensuring the torch never went out or fell during the highly watched relay. Every step was confident and steady, as if declaring to the world: China has reached a new height in robot motion control and 5G-A ultra-low latency communication. At the same time, several agile robotic dogs, acting as “mobile logistics stations”, shuttled along the relay route. Carrying supply materials on their backs like dedicated “mascot guardians”, they completed delivery tasks with precision.

Venue “Paw Patrol” Saves the Day: We’re Professionals at Discus Retrieval

In athletics, few events are as time-consuming and labor-intensive as discus and javelin. In the past, staff had to run dozens of meters to retrieve equipment, forcing the game to pause and wait. But this time, the situation changed completely! As soon as the discus landed after tracing a graceful arc in the air, several robotic dogs dashed off like arrows released from a bow. With nimble yet steady steps, they accurately reached the discus landing spot, quickly and stably retrieved the equipment using built-in robotic arms or suction systems, then ran back to the starting point at top speed. The entire process was smooth and seamless. These robotic dogs are not only efficient but also “smart”. They can automatically identify and locate equipment via visual algorithms, and independently plan the optimal route to avoid obstacles on the track. This dedicated “Paw Patrol” has become the most popular “staff” on the athletics field.

Award Ceremony: Gold Medals Delivered with Robot “Millimeter-Level” Precision

The award ceremony is the most glorious moment for athletes, leaving no room for mistakes. During multiple award sessions at this National Games, humanoid robots took on the responsibility of delivering medals. At the men’s 92kg boxing award ceremony on November 14, the robotic “hostess” moved slowly toward the presenter. Its robotic arm delivered the heavy medal to the presenter’s hand with millimeter-level precision. The entire process was smooth and stable, without the slightest shake or hesitation—its precise motion control was truly remarkable.Behind this lies the robot’s complex trajectory planning and force control technology. It ensures the medal maintains a perfect position throughout the delivery, preventing slipping or collision. This ultimate precision is not only a respect for the athletes’ efforts, but also fills this “tech-integrated National Games” with a strong sense of ceremony.

All-Round Backstage Steward: We’re “Versatile” at Bag Distribution and Crowd-Warming

The robots’ talents extend far beyond the spotlight. At the media center in the Shenzhen competition zone, humanoid robots transformed into “receptionists”, tirelessly distributing media bags to journalists. They can work continuously 24 hours a day with zero errors, allowing staff to focus on more complex tasks.During intervals between games, they also served as popular “crowd-warmers”. At the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center, the humanoid robot Walker held a unique race with the mascots “Xiyangyang” (Joyful Sheep) and “Lerongrong” (Harmonious Joy). As the starting gun fired, Walker ran with steady steps and a consistent pace. Though not the fastest, its earnest effort created a “cute contrast” with the lively mascots nearby, drawing constant laughter and applause from the audience.Even in on-site equipment assembly—an overlooked but critical link—robots showcased their prowess with automatic buckle feeding and assembly systems. At the venue’s temporary facility maintenance zone, small industrial robots equipped with precision feeding modules automatically conveyed plastic and metal buckles to the assembly end, while their multi-axis arms swiftly fastened the buckles to connect fence panels and equipment casings. The system’s built-in vision inspection ensured each buckle was seated correctly, completing assembly tasks 30% faster than manual work and eliminating loose connections that could pose safety risks.

Conclusion

At this National Games, what we witnessed was not only the competition of strength and speed among athletes, but also a concentrated showcase of China’s technological strength. Robots are no longer just concepts in laboratories or robotic arms in factories—they have stepped into the spotlight and become our collaborative partners. This grand event, with sports as the stage and technology as the performance, vividly tells us: the future is already here, and it is integrating into every corner of our lives in a way that is both efficient and fascinating. The National Games may have ended, but the technological flame it ignited is illuminating a smarter, more convenient, and better future.
