On the morning of March 4, the special promotion event for the 5th Chengdu International Industrial Expo 2026 (hereinafter referred to as “Chengdu Industrial Expo”) was successfully held at the Sichuan Provincial Private Economy Promotion Center. More than 80 local chambers of commerce, associations, industrial parks, media and relevant institutions in Chengdu participated in the event, gathering industrial consensus and resources for the upcoming Chengdu Industrial Expo. As a leading advanced manufacturing exhibition with high-level internationalization, professionalism and marketization in central and western China, Chengdu Industrial Expo has been mutually empowering Chengdu’s industrial development since its first edition in 2021, and has become an important platform for industrial exchange and cooperation in western China.
Leaders and Institutions Gather to Boost Expo Preparation
Zhong Qian, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of Chengdu Bureau of Expo Affairs, attended and addressed the event. Also present were responsible persons from Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of New Economic Development, Cultural Innovation and Convention Bureau of Sichuan Tianfu New Area, Chengdu International Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives of exhibition organizers including East Fair Land Shanghai Industrial Business Exhibition Co., Ltd., Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Co., Ltd., and Sichuan Pengcan Culture Media Co., Ltd. The event was hosted by Dong Zheng, Deputy General Manager of Sichuan Tianzhan Exhibition Co., Ltd.
In his speech, Zhong Qian extended a warm welcome to all guests and gratitude to all sectors of society for supporting Chengdu’s development. He introduced Chengdu’s development positioning as a national central city and the core city of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, mentioned Chengdu’s GDP of 2.48 trillion yuan in 2025, and the direction of building Chengdu into a national advanced manufacturing base, sci-tech innovation center and other “Five Bases” goals. He also reviewed the development of Chengdu International Auto Show and Chengdu Industrial Expo, and looked forward to the important role of the 2026 event in promoting industrial technology exchange and industrial collaboration.
Expo Details and Pavilion Planning Unveiled
Gao Lin, Assistant General Manager of East Fair Land Shanghai Industrial Business Exhibition Co., Ltd., introduced the key information of Chengdu Industrial Expo 2026. The exhibition will be held from March 11 to 13 at Western China International Expo City, under the theme of“Innovating the Industrial Chain for a Low Carbon Future”.It covers an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, attracting more than 800 exhibitors and about 60,000 professional visitors. Focusing on industrial automation, robotics, CNC machine tools & metalworking, new-generation information technology, energy saving & industrial supporting, and new materials, the expo sets up six themed exhibition zones and the Sichuan Industrial Chain Pavilion, fully presenting innovative achievements of the advanced manufacturing industry chain.
Chen Yiwen, Project Director of the Organizing Department of Sichuan Pengcan Culture Media Co., Ltd., elaborated on the planning of Hall 11 – Sichuan Industrial Chain Pavilion, with a total area of 12,000 square meters. It features four characteristic zones closely aligned with Sichuan’s key industrial chains: Hydrogen Energy Industry Chain Exhibition, Rail Transit & New Energy Engineering Equipment Exhibition, Zero Carbon Industrial Park Exhibition, and Future Industry Exhibition, displaying key products and solutions in the intelligent manufacturing industry chain.

It is reported that the 2026 Chengdu Industrial Expo will gather world renowned brands and leading enterprises in segmented sectors. Among them, the three core exhibition areas – industrial automation, machine tools, and robotics – will be the highlights of the expo.
The Industrial Automation Zone (Hall 14, Hall 15 and the connecting hall) gathers leading domestic and foreign enterprises including Inovance, AIRTAC, WAGO, DATALOGIC, ifm, YIHEDA, Leadshine, Xinje, CONTRINEX, ELCO, DEGSON, ODESYS, MEIJIE, Nulltech, SATA, QUANCHUAN, Hunan Lantian, Guangqi, HARTING, Haite, WEINER, DINKLE, KOA, Yakon, Jingyan, Huamao Oute and others. The CNC Machine Tools & Metalworking Zone (Hall 16 and connecting hall) will display high precision processing equipment and flexible manufacturing systems. The “Kejinghui” cross regional technology exchange event, guided by Sichuan Association for Science and Technology and hosted by Chengdu Association for Science and Technology, will also be held simultaneously.
