Suzhou’s Robot Industry Greets Another Dark Horse: New Hundred-Million-Yuan-Level Financing Follows Yixing Robot’s Seed Round

Following Suzhou Yixing Robot’s completion of a multi-hundred-million-yuan seed round of financing, another dark horse in the robot sector has secured a hundred-million-yuan-level financing in Suzhou.

Lexiang Technology Announces RMB 200 Million “Angel++” Round Financing, Backed by CDH and Existing Shareholder IDG

Recently, Lexiang Technology officially announced that it has obtained RMB 200 million in funding in the new “Angel++” round. The investors behind this round include CDH Investments and existing shareholder IDG. The funds will be used for the R&D and iteration of core components, as well as advancing the large-scale implementation of embodied intelligence products.

Lexiang Secures Hundred-Million-Yuan-Level Financing in Each Round: Cumulative Amount Nears RMB 500 Million with Star Investors

Looking at the company’s financing track record, Lexiang Technology has also attracted a number of star investment institutions such as Matrix Partners China, ZhenFund, and Jinqiu Fund in just 9 months. Each round of financing has reached the hundred-million-yuan level, with the cumulative financing amount approaching RMB 500 million.

Founded by Former Dreame China Executive President: Over 80% of Core Team Are R&D Personnel from Top Institutions

This rising star in the capital market, which has emerged rapidly in the robot industry, was founded by Guo Renjie, the former Executive President of Dreame Technology China. Over 80% of its core team are R&D personnel, all of whom graduated from renowned institutions such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Their expertise covers fields including precision motion coordination, multi-modal perception fusion, and robot structural design.

Develops Two Product Lines Focused on “Outdoor + Indoor” Scenarios: W-Bot in Stadiums, Z-Bot for Home Use

Up to now, the company has developed two major product lines centered on “outdoor + indoor” scenarios. Among them, the tracked robot W-Bot has expanded its application scope to public stadiums, where it assists with lawn maintenance and equipment inspection; meanwhile, Z-Bot, a humanoid robot focusing on indoor scenarios, stands at 60cm tall and will first enter home scenarios for educational interaction and emotional companionship after development. Notably, to ensure efficient and stable production of these two product lines, Lexiang has deployed a 4 – Axis Robotic Tray Loading System in its manufacturing workshop. This system, integrated with visual recognition technology, can autonomously identify, sort, and load key components (such as W-Bot’s track modules and Z-Bot’s sensor units) into standardized storage trays with a positioning accuracy of ±0.03mm. It leverages servo motors supplied by Suzhou’s local core component enterprise Inovance Technology, achieving a loading efficiency of 500 components per hour—3 times higher than manual operations—and reducing component collision damage rates to less than 0.05%. This not only optimizes Lexiang’s production process but also fully demonstrates the advantages of Suzhou’s robot industry ecosystem in supporting upstream and downstream collaboration.

Lexiang’s Rapid Breakthrough Reflects Suzhou’s Accumulated Development in Humanoid Robot Industry

Lexiang Technology’s rapid breakthrough is actually a microcosm of the accumulated development of Suzhou’s humanoid robot industry. In recent years, as a top performer in China’s robot industry, Suzhou has built a highly competitive industrial ecosystem.

Wuzhong District Gathers Over 1,100 Robot-AI Enterprises: Industrial Scale Exceeds RMB 160.8 Billion with Complete Core Component Ecosystem

According to a report by China Daily, Wuzhong District alone in Suzhou has gathered more than 1,100 enterprises related to robots and artificial intelligence, with the industrial scale exceeding RMB 160.8 billion. When it comes to core components, Suzhou has even completed the three major ecological puzzles of servo motors, reducers, and controllers. Component manufacturers such as Inovance Technology and Leader Harmonious Drive provide full-chain support for the R&D and production of embodied intelligence startups.

Suzhou Industrial Park Releases Embodied Intelligence Robot Industry Action Plan: Targets RMB 15 Billion Core Industry Scale in Two Years

At the policy level, Suzhou Industrial Park also released the Action Plan for the Development of the Embodied Intelligence Robot Industry at the beginning of this year. It clearly states that it will build a high-end embodied intelligence industry cluster within two years, with the goal of reaching a core industry scale of RMB 15 billion and a related industry scale of RMB 30 billion. It will also establish a technological innovation platform to make breakthroughs in core technologies such as the “brain” and “small brain” (key control and decision-making systems) of robots.

Wuzhong District Increases Industry Support: 30% of New Industrial Land for Robot Projects, Up to RMB 2 Million Purchase Subsidy

In addition, Wuzhong District is further increasing its support for the industry. On the one hand, no less than 30% of the newly supplied industrial land each year will be used for robot industry projects to provide space support for enterprise settlement. On the other hand, enterprises that purchase humanoid robot products or services will be given a subsidy of up to 10% of their purchase amount, with a ceiling of RMB 2 million per enterprise per year. The Taihu Computing Power Center, which has already been put into use, also provides a stable computing power base for enterprises’ model inference.

Multi-Dimensional Ecological Support + RMB 200 Million Financing: Lexiang Expected to Promote Consumer-Level Embodied Intelligence Penetration

With the deepening of multi-dimensional ecological support in Wuzhong District and the injection of RMB 200 million in financing, Lexiang Technology is expected to continue making breakthroughs in this fertile ground, promote the in-depth penetration of consumer-grade embodied intelligence products, and become an important part of the wave of humanoid robot applications in Suzhou.
