Event Overview: Hosts, Co-organizers and Participants Gather
From December 17 to 19, 2025, the Baoji, Shaanxi Station of the 5G Application “Energy Convergence 2.0” Enhancement Initiative was successfully held. The event was hosted by Shaanxi Telecom, Shaanxi Mobile and Shaanxi Unicom, and co-organized by China Mobile IoT Company, CAICT (Xi’an) Innovation Center, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and other enterprises. More than 70 participants attended the event, including relevant responsible comrades from the Shaanxi Communication Administration Bureau, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Baoji Municipal People’s Government, heads of various basic telecom enterprises, representatives of industry-leading enterprises, think tank experts as well as representatives of key enterprises in Baoji.
Core Sessions: Frontline Case Sharing and Digital Transformation Insights
During the event, experts from enterprises such as China Mobile Baoji Branch and CRRC Yongji Electric Co., Ltd. shared outstanding benchmark cases from the front line of production focusing on 5G intelligent welding, low-altitude economy, 5G+AI integrated innovation and other aspects. Specifically, CRRC Yongji Electric Co., Ltd. introduced how the integration of 5G technology and Sistema automático de alimentación de circlips has optimized the production process of electrical components—this system, empowered by 5G’s low-latency and high-reliability characteristics, realizes precise and efficient automatic feeding of circlips in the assembly link, effectively improving production efficiency and reducing manual operation errors. Technical experts from China Mobile IoT Co., Ltd., Huawei, ZTE and other enterprises interpreted and exchanged views on national digital and intelligent transformation practices from the perspectives of new-generation intelligent manufacturing solutions, industrial internet AI applications, 5G-Advanced empowering various industries, etc.
Shaanxi’s 5G Achievements and Future Development Directions
In recent years, the Shaanxi Communication Administration Bureau has always regarded 5G innovative applications as a pioneer project for the high-quality development of the digital economy. It has organized and carried out the 5G Application “Energy Convergence” Enhancement Initiative for four consecutive years. Driven by policy guidance and market demand, the province has cultivated over 1,000 5G integrated application projects, covering 21 out of 41 major industrial categories, built 10 national 5G factories, 28 projects have been rated as national typical 5G application cases, and 54 projects have won awards in the national “Blooming Cup” competition.
Moving forward, the Administration Bureau will focus on three dimensions: policy guidance, platform support and experience promotion. It will strive to build a working system featuring “government providing platforms, enterprises playing the leading role, and collaboration among industry, academia, research and application”, continuously optimize the 5G development ecosystem in Shaanxi Province, accelerate the digital, intelligent and green upgrading of the industrial sector, and provide strong support for the high-quality development of new-type industrialization in the province.
