Recently, the \u200cBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei Ecological Environment Technology-Industry-Finance Collaborative Development Conference and the 2nd Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Environmental Protection Technology Exhibition & Matchmaking Fair\u200c, co-hosted by the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences and the environmental science societies of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, was successfully held in Shijiazhuang. At the event, the \u200cEcology and Environment Big Data Professional Committee (hereinafter referred to as the “Committee”)\u200c was officially launched. The Committee was established and will be managed by \u200cSailing Technology\u200c, with its Executive Vice President, \u200cShi Ruodong\u200c, serving as the Director. This significant move marks a crucial step for Hebei Province in leveraging big data, artificial intelligence, and other cutting-edge technologies to enhance ecological environment governance, injecting new momentum into building a \u200c”data-driven, smart decision-making”\u200c modern environmental governance system.<\/p>\n

Currently, ecological environmental protection faces large-scale, multi-source, and complex challenges, with the potential of vast environmental data yet to be fully tapped. The Committee was established to pool industry expertise, focusing on breaking down barriers in data integration and sharing, as well as bottlenecks in technology R&D and application, to provide a solid scientific basis for environmental governance.<\/p>\n

\u200cZhao Genxi\u200c, President of the Hebei Society for Environmental Sciences, emphasized in his speech that \u200cecological environment big data, as the core engine of “smart environmental protection,” has become the “golden key” to solving complex environmental issues and achieving precise pollution control.\u200c As a branch of the Society, the Committee should adhere to the principles of \u200c”academic leadership, technology empowerment, and collaborative innovation,”\u200c with a problem-oriented approach to promote data interoperability, strengthen technology transfer, and enhance talent cultivation. Key priorities include strengthening policy research and strategic support, advancing technology productization and scenario-based applications, deepening integration of technology and capital, and promoting industry capacity building and standardization, thereby injecting \u200c”green momentum”\u200c into the construction of Beautiful Hebei.<\/p>\n

This expert team, spanning multiple cutting-edge fields, will jointly build a high-quality think tank for ecological environment big data, ensuring the Committee’s work is both forward-looking and practical.<\/p>\n
