The vessel adopts a highly modular design, with ample reserved space, strong system scalability, and a high degree of interface generalization.<\/p>\n<p>According to media reports, China&#8217;s deep-sea green and intelligent technology test vessel &#8220;Future&#8221; was recently officially named and delivered. The vessel has an overall length of 110.8 meters, a full-load displacement of 7,000 tons, a maximum speed of over 15 knots, a crew capacity of 80 people, a range of over 10,000 nautical miles, and an endurance of over 60 days, with the capability to sail in unlimited navigation areas.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Future&#8221; has a unique positioning, integrating three major functions: a new green and intelligent technology test platform, a deep-sea equipment application\/commissioning\/test support platform, and a mobile laboratory for deep-sea marine surveys.<\/p>\n<p>Compared with traditional scientific research vessels or test ships, the &#8220;Future&#8221; has made remarkable progress in versatility, modularization, and intelligence. It is equipped with advanced offshore test and operation support systems for deep-sea equipment, underwater acoustic systems, moon pool systems, and multidisciplinary laboratories. With a deck operation area of 1,500 square meters, it boasts comprehensive capabilities such as deployment, recovery, storage, and transportation of deep-sea equipment, surface and underwater detection\/communication\/positioning, and test command and dispatch, which can meet the needs of sea trial verification and operation support for various deep-sea equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The vessel adopts a highly modular design with sufficient reserved space, strong system expandability, and a high degree of interface generalization. It supports convenient installation, replacement, and multi-level dynamic testing of key equipment such as generator sets, power distribution systems, dynamic positioning systems, intelligent navigation systems, navigation radars, steering systems, and pumps and valves.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Future&#8221; deeply integrates advanced intelligent and information technologies to realize functions such as intelligent navigation control, intelligent engine room, and intelligent energy efficiency. It is equipped with a self-developed intelligent information system (MarineNet) and a dynamic testing system, which can complete the collection, storage, calculation, management, and application of the entire vessel&#8217;s data, and realize data interconnection between the vessel and the shore. It has created an open and shared digital test platform for the industry.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Future&#8221; took six years to build. It was led by the Taihu Laboratory of Deep-Sea Technology and Science and its Lianyungang Center. More than ten units under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) participated in technical research and supporting supply, and CSSC Chengxi Ship Repair &amp; Building Co., Ltd. undertook the general assembly and construction.
